What’s the issue?

All projects erased and can't save any new projects.

Please describe what you expected to happen and what actually happened.
Yesterday, i left the studio as any normal day with everything shutdown over night
Today when i started the Reliq all my projects were gone.

Now Reliq won't save any new projects.

How to reproduce

While the missing projects remain unresolved, project creation appears to be functional. However, there's an unusual behavior occurring during the project creation process.
When attempting to create a new template, I followed standard workflow by using "Save as..." to establish a baseline project file, allowing me to use the simple "Save" function for subsequent changes. Upon trying to reload this newly saved project to verify it loads correctly, Reliq unexpectedly launches a new project instead of opening the saved file.
Interestingly, after Reliq opens this new project, saving it and then attempting to reload the original template results in successful loading of the template. This suggests a potential issue with the initial project loading sequence rather than file corruption or saving problems.
The behavior indicates that Reliq may require a "priming" step—creating and saving a new project—before it can properly access previously saved templates. This workaround, while functional, points to an underlying issue with the project loading mechanism that should be investigated.

Hi @AntropicM — thanks a lot for the detailed report. Super helpful, and this definitely shouldn’t happen.

We got a similar report recently and found a few potential issues that can occur if Reliq loses power during the autosave or load process. That can interfere with the internal index and cause behavior like what you described.

We’ve already added an extra layer of safety and made significant improvements in the upcoming Rlx update to better handle those cases — including restoring projects even if something goes wrong.

We’re also looking into the “priming” behavior you mentioned. That’s a really useful clue and might help us reproduce it. If you remember, was Reliq set to “LOAD LAST PROJECT” or “LOAD NEW PROJECT” when this happened? That could help narrow it down further.

I just relied on the auto save function before shutting everything down, as i didn't have any important project going on. The next day everything was gone.

Thanks for the extra context AntropicM , that really helps.

One quick thing that might help us narrow it down even further: do you usually unplug Reliq from power right before or shortly after pressing the power button? We’re trying to cover all possible timing edge cases around possible power cuts and save behavior.
