What’s the idea?

Would it be possible to decide in which direction the playhead in the seq will flow?
Mostly it goes from left to right. But maybe you can decide wether it goes horizontal or vertical, left to right, right to left, up to down or down to up.

Where would it go?

Songview, Clipview....

Thanks the suggestion @aleskibordeaux. Right now each track’s playhead can already run forward, backwards, ping-pong, or random. Could you share a bit more on how you’d imagine the horizontal/vertical directions working in practice? Curious to understand your idea better.

Sure. I'm used to trackers quite some years, so i'm asking myself wether the seq playing direction could be vertical moving from top to bottom as it plays in forward mode.
With this in mind i was wondering wether the middle east musicians are reading there notes from left to right just like written things on paper. If this would be the case would it be easier for them to play with reliq the middle east way than on the standard western way?
Working with disabled people in my job life and getting in touch with inclusion i'm wondering if that could be useful.
That said i'm thinking of a way to set the colour coding for colour-blinded people. For example T.Quätsching from Tangerine Dream said that he cannot use certain instruments because of thier colour setting.
W/Could be a nice feature too.?

Hey @aleskibordeaux , really appreciate this perspective, both technically and in terms of accessibility.

Vertical sequencing like in trackers is an interesting idea, and not something we’ve ruled out long term. It would need quite a different UI structure, but definitely noted.

Also love the point about color accessibility — that’s something we’d like to handle better as the UI system evolves. Thanks again for bringing all of this up!
