During testing we’ve tried a bit of everything: stereo-to-dual-mono cables, simple stereo splitters, and 3.5→6.3 adapters. All of them work fine with the breakout. If you plan to change connections often, stereo splitters tend to be a lot less bulky and much easier to plug/unplug than dual-mono cables.
On the hardware side: there are no short-term plans for a 16× 6.3 mm stereo I/O breakout, but we are exploring alternative front-panel formats, including options with 6.3 mm mono, banana, and a few other connector types. The breakout was designed so the entire front panel can be swapped, which gives us some flexibility to investigate different connection layouts down the line 🙂
