What’s the idea?
On a tracks 'Out' setting offer the option to not have the CV output locked to the track but freely assignable - the same way as the midi channels.
This way users could organize their layouts independently from where their instruments are plugged in. The necessary field is already there - just greyed out.
Another possibility this would open up is using more than one track to output to the same CV.
Where would it go?
Exact same spot as the midi channel setting.
