Won't recognize Ableton 12.

Anyone else having trouble using with Ableton 12? I updated the firmware, downloaded the new script, Ableton recognizes Reliq but I can't figure out how to get Reliq to recognize Ableton, it just gives me the No Daw Connected screen over and over. Tried a bunch of different control surface options in Live settings starting with what's in the manual but I got nothing.

I was having this issue too, but it seemed to work itself out after I updated to Live 12.2.5. initially i was on 12.2.1, if I remember correctly.

I appreciate the suggestion but still no go, I updated and re installed the script and still nothing.

Thank you for your message, and I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

Before anything else, could you please double-check the following steps:

Make sure the MIDI settings are configured correctly. In the control surface settings, the input should be set to Reliq (MIDI Out 2) and the output to Reliq (MIDI In 2).

Try using a different cable, and ensure it’s firmly connected to both the USB MIDI port and your computer.

If neither of these helps, please let me know — we’ll take a closer look together.

Yep those settings did it thank you! We should make sure those get in the manual because that's very different from what's pictured in it.

Hey so can I not use Reliq as a midi controller to play software instruments? I just always assumed that was possible but it seems like you can only use it to laugh clips? Maybe im just being an idiot lol.

Hey @kvltadelic, no worries at all! Yes, you can absolutely use Reliq to play software instruments if you’d like.

For example, from the Sequencer page, set the output to USB MIDI (assuming your computer is connected via USB). Then, select a MIDI channel. On your DAW side, choose USB MIDI Port 1 to receive the incoming MIDI messages.

Next, arm the track by pressing the REC button + the track button, and you’ll be able to send MIDI notes from the Keys page.

Additionally, if you’d like to control parameters, you can use CC automation, or even assign LFO or Envelope CC.
