Cannot pass audio or CV through matrix mixer with RLX 1.2

I connect input 1 to Out 1 and try to pass a CV through, and nothing happens. I'm using the cable it came with. Just trying to pass the signal through in the most basic way. I AM getting LFO outs and envelops outs via the CV outs so I know the breakout is connected somehow. But the Matrix mixer won't work.
