What’s the idea?
Describe the feature or improvement you’re suggesting. What problem does it solve, or what would it enable?
I'd like to be able to target internal parameters from LFOs and/or envelopes.
As an example, modulating the ADSR params of an envelope from a S&H LFO to "humanize" that envelope: at each envelope trigger, it "grabs" the value from the LFO and applies it to the step.
Many other uses to this, like modulating microtiming, note duration, or probablilty...
However, doing so has a strong impact as it would require having a proper modulation matrix to visualize/control what is modulating what. As an example the synth Falcon is famous for its complexity, also because it does not provide sucha. view.
Where would it go?
Is this something you imagine on a specific page (e.g. KEYS, MIX, SONG), or as a new mode, setting, or workflow?
The simplest is from LFO/Envelope view. However, for more practical uses, having a way to open a menu "Modulate from..." that would allow to touch a knob (ex: duration in seq), and open a sources menu.
Any details or mockups?
The challenge here is that the amount of modulation in an LFO or envelope is currently unique, which woudl'nt fit in a per target modulation.
Optional: Add mockups, reference links, or extra notes to help us understand your vision.
