To be able to customize the piano roll of a track.
By enabling/disabling certain notes to be seen in the piano roll.
Something similar can be done when select a certain scale (keys page) and have only notes of the active scale visible in the piano roll.
And also to be able to rename notes.
This would be useful for drum machines, where a note triggers a certain instrument. You only use like a couple of notes from the piano roll, so masking/disabling these unused notes would clear up the view so that only relevant notes are visible.
These notes could them also be named after the instrument they are triggering.
Could be part of track settings? Or a whole new track type?
